Adventist Amateur Radio Association International

Due to the cancellation/postponement of the 2020 General Conference session, we are going to conduct our quinquennial officer election in a different manner—actually better! In the past, elections were held during the GC session at a Sunday afternoon meeting in a designated room, with perhaps 25 or 30 members in attendance. This time everyone can take part!

Right now our nominating committee is at work and we will soon reveal the names for approval. Then our secretary will be emailing a “survey monkey” to everyone for their consideration. And just as we do when we have church officer elections, only one candidate will be suggested for each position, for us to vote either up or down.

After the election, yours truly will spend time training the new officers so that we have a smooth transition come July 1.

I am truly excited about the future of AARAI! Radio conditions are showing improvement and net participation is increasing. In fact, we now have a brand-new net on Sabbath afternoons, hosted by Bob, VE7DSE. Check it out on our net listing.

Your Support is Needed

We are now able to accept donations via PayPal! A simple click on the icon below is all it takes. Your contributions are very important to us, whether cash donations or equipment. Sometimes we are able to provide a radio to a needy missionary or other individual. In addition, we have expenses for our website, office supplies, and many other things.

With the right funding, we could add ASI conferences and the like, but it all depends on the generosity of our members and friends. We have many other expenses for web hosting, office expenses, etc.
